2007 Standings

  • Advocare is synonymous with excellence, not only in nutritional products also but culture, values and leadership.  The 2007 Advocare Team Challenge Series is a multiple race series that will recognize teams of triathletes who demonstrate their excellence.

  • Eligible events

  • Rules

    • To qualify for series awards the team must be represented in all 5 events by at least 1 member of the team.

    • Team members can compete in any combination (sprint tri, du, olympic, etc.) to score team points!

    • Series awards will be awarded to the overall top 3 teams based on points.

    • Series awards will be presented at the Moss Park Triathlon Festival on 10/6/07

    • Individual overall standing in a race will earn points for the team.
      • Example:  Paul, Allen, Beth, Joan and Bill work are part of Team Hell's Angels. All 5 decide that their team can win the 2007 Advocare Team Challenge Series. Paul, Allen and Beth enter the age group division but Joan enters the Athena division and Bill enters the Clydesdale division. At the conclusion of the event Paul, Allen and Beth finish 2nd, 3rd and 487th out of 487 athletes – they earn the team 486+485+1 points = 972 team points.  Joan wins the race – she earns 487 points. Bill hurt his knee and finished 312th – he earned 175 points. Team Hell's Angels accrues 972 + 487 + 175 = 1,092 team points.
    • In the event of a tie, the team with the highest placing at the last event will break the tie.

    • Individuals who want to contribute their results to a team must register as part of a team in the first race they compete in.  There will be no transfers between teams after the first race of the season.

  • Strategy

    • Decide if you're competing in this series!

    • Gather a group of people, pick a team name and make sure they register as that team.

    • Plan to compete in required number of races.

    • Be aware of the entry list and numbers in the whole race - larger races mean more points up for grabs.

    • Focus on the time of the year where your fitness is highest.  For example if you're a summer bloomer then schedule those events where your chances of finishing high is increased.
