November 5, 2006 – 2nd Annual Great Orlando Inline Marathon
DESCRIPTION
Skate one of the newest Inline Marathons in the United States in sunny and
warm Clermont, Florida (20 minutes West of Orlando).
RACE COURSE
The course is a 13.1 mile loop with rolling terrain. With the exception of
some city skating the majority of the course is rural. The start / finish
area is located at Gold's Gym.

DIRECTIONS
Gold's Gym is located at 1050 East Highway 50, Clermont, FL 34711. From
Orlando take expressway 408 West to the Florida Turnpike. Take the Clermont
exit and travel West. Just before highway 27 the Gold's Gym will be on the

Sunday, November 5, 2006
6:00 am: Registration opens. Race day registration and transponder pick
up.
7:00 am: Registration closes. Divide into start waves.
7:30 am: Marathon start.
7:45 am: Half start.
10:45 am: Awards ceremony
CATEGORIES
- Pro, Pro Masters, Pro Veterans (Marathon
ONLY) - Competitive skaters who are USAC, USAIR, or RWC certified.
- Age Group (Marathon & Half) - All
other skaters (<15, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, …, 70+)
- Military (Marathon & Half) - Skaters
with a military ID for any branch - retired or active.
AWARDS
- Pro, Pro Masters, Pro Veterans (Marathon
ONLY) - Cash to the top 5 overall. Awards and merchandise to the top 3
male and female.
- All others - Awards and merchandise to
the top 3 male and female.
RACE NOTES
- You must finish the marathon in 3 hours
to be an official finisher.
- All registered participants receive a
participant t-shirt and goodie-bag.
- All finishers will receive a beautiful
commemorative finisher's medal.
- Participants may pick-up their t-shirt
and goodie-bag on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Helmets are mandatory to participate in
the event. Knee, elbow pads and wrist guards are recommended.
- Inline skates and quad skates only. NO
roller skates, ski poles, baby strollers, baby joggers, headphones,
automobiles, skateboards, bikes, bandits, or pets allowed.
- Spark, Rehydrate, oranges, bananas and
water will be available at the aid stations.
- The race will be held rain or
shine.

TIMING SYSTEM
- This event uses the AMB-IT system - NO
MATS!!!
- You must wear the timing chip on your
ankle (not boot) NO CHIP, NO TIME
- You must return the chip immediately
after the race or be charged $100.00
- All times are net (this means that your
time won't start until you cross the start line regardless of where you
are in the field)
ENTRY FEES
- Marathon - $50 before 2/28/06, $60 until
3/31/06, $75 after 4/1/06
- Half Marathon - $35 before2/28/06, $45
until 3/31/06, $60 after 4/1/06
